At Hurdle Mills Independent Baptist Church, our mission is to spread the love of Christ and serve our community. We believe in the power of faith and the importance of fellowship among believers.

At Hurdle Mills IBC, we strive to create a community where people can come together to worship, learn, and grow in their faith. We believe in taking our faith beyond the walls of our church and into the world. We are involved in a variety of local and global outreach programs, from helping those in our communities to supporting missionaries around the world.

Joshua.24:15
"And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD."
There is a phrase in the verse that says “and if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve”,
Who will you serve ?
God?
The World?
Satan?
Man?
Your church attendance on Sunday, shows who you’re serving.
If you would rather chase a career over serving God that tells who you’re serving.
Our society today is making it evil to serve the LORD, but someone needs to step up and say “but as for me and my house we will serve the LORD”.

Master's Club and Youth Meetings
At Hurdle Mills Independent Baptist Church, we believe that children are a wonderful gift from the Lord. It is our desire to see young people come and know the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and to help them discover their purpose and take steps towards fulfilling it. We offer Master's Club on Wednesday Nights at 7, and we have youth meetings during the month to keep the youth engaged within their church community.
Ladies Meetings
Ladies’ meetings are important because they give women a place to grow spiritually, encourage one another, and strengthen unity in the church. These gatherings help women study God’s Word together, share burdens, and build supportive relationships rooted in Christ. Scripture reminds us of the value of teaching, fellowship, and mutual encouragement:
- Titus 2:3–5 (KJV) teaches older women to guide younger women in godly living.
- Proverbs 27:17 (KJV) says, “Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.”
- Hebrews 10:24–25 (KJV) calls believers to encourage one another and meet together.
Ladies’ meetings help fulfill these biblical principles by providing a space where women can pray, learn, fellowship, and grow together in faith.
Grow in Your Faith
Men’s prayer meetings are important because they strengthen the spiritual leadership of the church. When men gather to pray, they seek God’s guidance for their families, church, and community, setting a strong foundation of faith and unity. Scripture reminds us of the power and responsibility of godly men:
- 1 Timothy 2:8 (KJV) – “I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands…”
- Proverbs 27:17 (KJV) – “Iron sharpeneth iron…”
- James 5:16 (KJV) – “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”
A men’s prayer meeting encourages accountability, builds spiritual strength, and helps men grow together as faithful examples in the church and at home.

We believe that serving others is an important part of living out our faith. We offer a variety of service opportunities both locally and globally, where you can make a difference in the lives of others.
